I've got an all black Vision and my jeans are dulling the paint (or the clear coat maybe) on both sides of the tank plastic just ahead of the seat. Anyone have a suggestion on what to use to polish that again and then protect it?

I've tried bike spirits, and wax. Is there something special for clearcoat ?

I bought 'Invisiguard' vinyl paint protectors. They cover all the areas that may get scuffed and are practically invisible. It has saved me a lot with my daughter's boots hitting the saddlebags getting on and off. When I accidentally hit a truck with my mirrors, I just peeled the Invisiguard off and ordered a new one.

Q: What is the difference between a Harley Davidson and an old dog?
A: The dog can get in the back of the pickup by itself.

My legs are too short to reach the paint on "tank area". I first heard about this many years ago and was confused.

Black bikes gotta love em/hate em... I found that Mcguires NXT wax is the only thing that seems to help. I have tried literally hundreds of dollars of product and that is the one that finally makes all of the clear coat skuff and swirl go away.... for me anyway. I wont be without it!

You're overthinking this. Do what I do and don't wear pants while you're riding. Problem solved. (BTW, there's no such thing as clear coat on a Victory. )

I use the Wolfgang 3.0, which is a man made paint sealer, not a carnuba wax. I have had good success with the Honda spirits, which runs about 6 bucks or so. I had a black car once in my mid twenties and learned by lesson. The Honda stuff should work well for quick cleanup/detail. One of my few gripes with the VV. Vlad.
