What is the threaded rod for that has a hex end (1/8"?), pointing to the rear, that is on the right side, under the front cowling, just behind and next to the right headlight. I was thinking it's a 'horizontal' adjuster for the headlight housing, much like the 'wheel' is for vertical headlight adjustment.

Any thoughts??

there is a silver hex screw that sticks out the back of the light for left and right adjustment. Looking at photo its in the 9 o'clock potion.

On my 2008, it's in the 3 o'clock position!

Actually, I think your pic is upside-down, so the adjuster WOULD be in the same spot.
