hmmm....wonder if it was Polaris or the dealer you ordered from. I found out that my dealer waits until he has a larger order before placing one in order to cut costs. This information came from a very close friend that works at the dealership.

My dealer told me the same thing, when they order parts.

LA Victory Rider - 2014-06-10 7:01 PM Yea, on some items they have a huge gross mark up. But as a business owner, I can guarantee you, not much goes to the bottom line at the end of the month OBTW, I Guess they held a gun to your head to make you buy them, correct?

I'll bet Vic has a 50% mark up on 90% of there parts. Yes Vic sells to dealer and then gives the dealer a saugetd retail price

One spark plug wire $53.68 don't you think Vic orders what 5000 of these from a vendor and they don't mark them up to us.

One headlight H-4 bulb $23.68 and auto store sell them for half that.

Timing cover gasget $50.00?  Time to get the old pin knife out and cut your own out of a 12 pack coke carton ( maybe a budlight) used to do that for small engine head gaskets year ago. Maybe time to go back to it.

If you need a timing cover gasket get the re-usable one from Lloydz or WD for about $20, not that ridiculous other number.
