Just curious. . . . when do you drive with your HID on?

All the time?

During the day only?

Daytime: all the time.

Night: only when the traffic is low (to much trouble turning it off and on).

I do wish they would have put the switch were I could reach it easier. Guess I am going to have to make my own switch and place it near my fingers.

I leave mine on all the time. It is not as annoying to other drivers as the regular headlights are with the factory adjustment. I got flashed all the time (and not in the good way) until I aimed them down. Now no problem, even with the HID on.

Never during the day and always at night (until I meet a vehicle). I have enough load on my charging system as it is. At night, I live in the country so it's always a good idea to take advantage of every Lumin I can to watch for deer/coyotes. Ditto what Indiana RR said about the switch placement. I'd like to relocate the HID switch and hazards to the handlebars. I was considering buying the CB switch cubes for it. I gotta figure out if they're latching switches though.

I have mine on all the time to. It is, as indicated in the manual, a low beam head. To me the more lights on up front and behind the better chances of me being seen by other drivers.

Stebel airhorn and now they can see and HEAR me coming...

I have not turned off my HID since I bought the bike....it is a low beam. If someone falshes me I just give them a quick flick of the high beams and they quickly realize that I didn't forget to turn my lights on low beam. I did adjust my headlight down some but that was because it was shining up too high for my liking, not because I was getting flashed on a regular basis.

I would have left my headlight adjustment alone until some jerk in front of my slammed on his brakes. Than I decided I should do something about it.

I was using it only during daylight driving but it seems to have stopped working suddenly, 2 months old, seems a little early for a bulb failure, but if so then I will quit shutting it off after dark and leave it on full time when I get it replaced.

On at all times. I used to get flashed, and the slow-downs, but after I put some air in the rear shock, that seems to have ceased. Sure beats having jerks pull out in front of me, that later say they didn't see me.....Metalguy

Thanks for the reply guys.

I've been driving with mine on all the time, and I'll keep doing so. Like Crawford says, any visibility is a good thing.

Devilboy, the PIAA lights are going to be a winter project - and the Stebel. I miss my Stebel. Hmm....maybe the Vision deserves dual Stebels. Heh heh heh.

ALWAYS ON when operating motorcycle.

Being seen is my utmost safety concern.

Motorcyclists are hit during the daytime with nearly as many "did not see them" incidents as riders are at night-time.

I've never had someone "flash" me since I started riding the Vision that way on February 4th!

I have mine on all the time and have the PIAA lights. I would like the tail lights to be brighter. I also put on the lighted Victory badges. While the front and back are lit I felt I needed and still need some light on the sides of the bike.

HID & PIAA fog lights on 24/7 , as I want as much "notice me" as possible.
