I'm headed to Franklin TN (south of Nashville) this week and am looking for some nice roads to ride. Anyone familiar with Natchez Trace Parkway?? I'm probably going to start at Rt 100 and head south for a couple of hours. Anyone ridden that road??

I rode some of it (Alabama and Mississippi) in 2010. Very nice road. The speed limit was low and the traffic was light. You might want to plan ahead on fuel stops. There are no gas stations in view of the parkway, and no signs for them.

Rode it from Natchez to Nashville. Pick up a flyer at the TN welcome station. Lots of stops with things to see. They all have storys. took 2 day and camped out one nite at a camp ground on the trace. Could have spent more time on it. Beautiful ride. Low speed limit (good for site seeing), little traffic. I'd like to do it again, but I would make as many stops, but catch some that I missed & enjoy the nice quick peaceful ride. Lots of shade too

my wife and I rode from tupelo miss. to Nashville. very pleasant and peaceful. I would guess it gets more flat and straighter the further south you go.

Natchez Trace is a very nice road. The first 15 miles out of Nashville toward Franklin is the best for motorcycles. Watch your speed. You will want to run 75 but the speed limit is 45 - 50. It 's a Federal Scenic Highway and patrolled by Park Rangers. Speeding fines are very high. If you like history take your time on the Trace and enjoy the pull offs and history. BTW there are lot of great roads between Dayton and Franklin. Enjoy them and you may find you don't make it to the Trace.
