| At your headlite that is. Top edge of the headlight assembly on my bike separated and spider cracks forming. Dealer noted it while in for the rubbing noise and has a new assy on order (amost $500 part). Anyhow I guess they already replaced two on other Visions so it appears it is not a one off bike thing. If you look along the top edge of the headlite assy and it isn't shiny and clear but rather greyish and/or faded you need a new headlite assy.
In addition to the headlite they found my shock bushing were excessively loose already so those will be getting replaced when it goes in for the new headlite, oil sending sensor, radio handlebar control, etc.....
The good news is they fixed the chattering belt/pulley again, the bike runs fantastic, and it is back in my possession for a ride tonight. |

Ruskin, Fl | My left turn signal separated at the seam where the amber plastic is fused to the rear of the assembly. The water in the turn signal caught my attention. I have 5400 miles so far. Teach, what bushings are you referring to? |

| 10k miles 1atom12..... It would likely be around 15 if I could keep it on the road more, lol... Seriously I average around 12-15k riding from late May to normally the 3rd week in September when I tear my bikes down and go over every inch, lube, check wiring, etc... all the preventative stuff plus some extra (I'm pretty anal about maintenance). I'll likely ride the bike through Nov-Dec this year if the snow holds off. Don't mind riding in snow just hate the ice...
cw1115 there are evidently 3 bushings on the top of the shock & linkage arm. I believe the mechanic said it was the middle bushings but I believe they will be changing them all out (they all support each other if I got the explanation correct}. I didn't go into details with them, but suffice to say they put a wrench on the rear axle, lifted slightly and the shock could shift all over on the bushing, really sloppy for a bushing. |
