Hello fellow victory riders. My story short and sweet. I've owned 5 goldwings two of which were totaled one from a car slamming me into a guard rail the other a deer in my path. I'm full of plates and screws not to mention the lose of my right eye. The time in the military never came close to causing the injuries a motorcycle has. My last goldwing was meeting 3 deer crossing to road. I had seconds to find myself hitting a direction pole. Luckily it was just a broken arm and ankle. So to wrap up all this poor me crap, the last one totaled was a 08 wing. I took the insurance settlement and bought in full a bike I was warned not ride or I would buy it. Low and behold they were right. It far exceeds a wing in so many ways. It is a 2010 Victory Vision. 11,000 miles at $13,500. That's my simple story.

You chose wisely grasshopper. Great bike almost got 30k on my 2010. I'd have more but my Indian demands attrition also.

Yes I've taken the course twice in my many years of riding. One wreck was from an idiot talking on their cell and not seeing me. The other were deer crossing in front of me with little time to act and determining they weren't squishables my only choice was to take evasive action instead of hitting one and being seriously injured if not killed like a few riders I knew. But yes the courses refresh anyone that take them more than once.

Welcome and nice choice on the Vision. Those white ones are so nice!
I've never ridden a GW, I've heard guys say after switching to the Vision that it is so much better than their GW, from your perspective, what makes the Vision so much better for you?

Welcome to the Vision Bretheren. As you have discovered, just sitting in the saddle of a Vision says it all. I recall my first Vision test ride in the fall of 07. There was no comparision to describe it other than "a perfect fit." My wife rides a 2011 white and grey Cross Country. We have had many a debate (over the scalla com) while riding riding, who has the best eye candy.

I agree. It really just boils down to a matter of time before you get caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time. John Ryan (IBA legend and the real deal Holyfield) is unfortunately no longer with us due to a motorcycle accident. Here in AZ we have the highest incidence of red light running in the country. Need I say more? So why do I still ride a log an average of 12-15K annually? To say I love riding would be an understatement and I have a good life insurance policy. Vlad.
