I just want to let my fellow Vision Riders know how great Gregory Polaris dealership in Jacksonville, AR was to me.
I was on my way back from Texas to my home state of Delaware last Monday. I decided to go north to get to I40 instead of running the gulf coast because of tropical storm Fay. About 4pm while exiting 440 to I40 I hit a concrete encased piece of rebar sticking up at a expansion joint in the road at about 70 mph. I heard a loud bang but the bike didn't even bounce off course. I immediately slowed down to pull off the side of the road. By the time I got it to the shoulder then the front end started to shimmy but I kept the vision upright and in tact. The front rim had a 3'' bend in it and of course the tire was flat. I called the victory riders club number and they got a towing company to come out and found a dealership to take it to. Rob Gregory the owner of the dealership called me and said they close at five but will wait till we get there. After several close calls with the tow man who had no idea how to tie down" the bike from space" We got to Gregory Polaris at 6:30, unloaded the bike and put it safely in there care. The owner then took me to get something to eat and drove me to a Best Western motel. There was nothing within walking distance. He then made sure I got a room and helped me carry my bags to my room. He told me he missed the truck for next day delivery for the new wheel so I would be there 2 days.
The next day he sent his daughter to pick me up at the motel and bring me to the dealership to have lunch with his family and co workers. Later they took meback to the motel for the evening. The next morning they called and said the wheel was in and they picked me up and brought in to get my vision. They replaced the wheel and tire and took it out for a test ride. Before I left there on Wednesday they gave me 2 victory dealer t shirts and I was finally back on the road.
Rob Gregory, his family and staff went way beyond what I expected from a dealeship especially for a customer that they might never see again. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!
