I have a 2012 Vision and I was having a hard time picking it up off the side stand. Thought maybe I was getting weak or old? Today I realized that it was leaning over farther and farther! I now have a 2x4 under it when I park! Anyone have this happen? Going to call dealer in a.m. to get advice also. I think the damn thing is bent. Never in 42yrs. of riding have I seen this!

Yes, we had a discussion about this not too long ago. Some of us have been keeping the bike on the side stand (with a 2x4) as well, just to keep it from an extreme angle.

I wore the rubber pad loose on mine so I replaced it with piece of tread from an old use steal belted tire. (actually put it on under the woren original pad) This added the hight that I needed because of a passenger, I added air to the tires & the shock. I only put a 1/16" hole in the pad and the steel belt in the radial tire serves as the bolt to hold it on. It's been on about three months now and still kicks, the kick stand up when I forget it. Another little known safety of the vision, diffenately not advertised.

Good, cheap mod. Well done. And yes, I can count on one hand the times that little rubber pad kicked up my sidestand after I had a 'senior moment"

May not be necessary, but it sure makes the job easier.  Recommend dimes instead of pennies - they are thinner and easier to wedge in and get out.

Update on the bent side stand. Dealer said the bike is still under warranty and submitted a claim to Ma Vic. I also ordered a center stand from Witchdoctor. It will be good to have an alternative to the side stand! The CEO ( wife) showed a video on you tube on how easy it is to use and suggested we get it. I'll post an opinion of how well it works out. I should have it this Sat.

I'm curious. Where is it exactly bent? At the point where it bolts to the frame? Or is the side stand bent in the middle?

Knock on Formica, but mine hasn't bent yet, thank goodness, I may have to throw the whole dange bike away, if that is the case.

At least they are replacing it. Not so sure about the pennies or dimes. Seems I would have already had the spring off. I'm just glad to see he was thinking, and he had cash laying around. Probably a rich guy.

Good tip.  Maybe my spring is a little more sprung.  When in the full upright position, the spring went on with ease and ready to ride.  Didn't we have this discussion...

The bend is in what I would call the foot. It's just above where the rubber foot is attached. The center stand from Witchdoctor 305.00. Peace of mind knowing it will be more stable and stronger? Priceless.

That's very interesting.  I'll check mine later today and see if it's bent in the same area.  I thought the weakness was higher in the side stand; specifically at the point where it bolts to the frame.
