on the edge of Los Angeles | Just got off a quick trip and here are some details: Two up, all three bags full, 867 miles, 1000 to 9300 ft elevation, From 10 mph mountain to 75 mph fwy. ( 55mph avg.) 65 to 105 deg temps. 20-50 M-1. Hwy 5 to 99 to 41 to 49 to 108 to 395. 42.11 MPG. |

Pittsburgh, PA | Thats pretty dare good i think! with all that extra weight and whatnot. I was wondering how much 10w40 would alter mpg since they claim thicker oil creates more "drag" on the engine. I have thought about using 20w50 in my Vision but my owners booklet says to only use a Xw40. I was also wondering how much 20w50 VS 10w40 would effect oil temp while using the victory oil temp dipstick gauge. Thinner oil they claim cools faster. Either way, what your doing works! |

Woodland Hills, CA | Given similar parameters (and many of the same roads), that is about what I am seeing as well. Have yet to see anywhere near the kind of mileage many talk about here, but I am being told it has something to do with the gas sold here in California. In any case, its nice to see that someone else in here Southern California is seeing the same thing I am seeing.

Ruskin, Fl | Me and the wife did our first long day trip Sunday. Total miles was 350 for the day. The bike's display was about 42 mpg. Actual was 40. I can live with it. I did notice that when the low fuel light comes on I REALLY need gas. First time was just as I hit a deserted 30 mile stretch of SR 60. Though for sure I was going to run out. Had 0.3 tenths of a gallon left when I found gas. On the way home I stopped for gas about 15 miles after the light came on. The bike stalled on the kickstand. I guess the fuel pick-up is on the right side. I still had a half gallon left. |
