Central Maryland | Weights. I've never had luck with the beads. You can still feel a unbalanced tire (depending on the severity) at 30 miles per hour or less.
Also; if you have to plug a tire with bead balancers installed; many of the beads are going to adhere to the stickiness of the plug; throwing it permanently off balance.

Beer Collins, Colorado (there is no fort) | +1 for Ride On. I've used the beads and they were fine-never an issue. The Ride On stays in place around the tire but is still viscous enough to move throughout the tires life and doesn't spill out like the beads when changing tires plus it can seal a puncture provided it's in the center strip of the tire.

The beads actually wear the inside of your tire and in doing so coat the beads, now I don't know if that hurts anything but they just aren't as good as Ride-On......
The beads are a.p.i.t.a to get though the valve stem even with a vibrating hand tool, Ride-On was a little messy but cleaned up easily. Ride-On wins! |

+1 I have had a set now for 3 full sets of tires and they work fantastic. Some guys will chime in that they are expensive but when I traded my GW I sold them to another guy and they worked out about the same as the beads. Since I will most likely ride another Victory Vision, I will transfer them to the new bike in about 125,000 more miles. |

He made me clean up the wheels and machine, which I'll admit, was pretty easy, but still..... not a fan. And, before I took the tires to him, I did my own puncture test as per their video. The stuff just shot out the hole I made. Worthless.
At this point, the only dynamic device I would consider for balance would be the Centramatic system.

Central Maryland | I wonder if that Ride On stuff actually would pool in the bottom of the tire; if you let your motorcycle sit for awhile; and if it was cold out; how long would it take to spin around inside of the tire so you wouldn't get an unbalanced effect.
Like I posted previously; it would take 16 ounces in my 240/55r16 Rocket 3 rear tire... that's a lot of damned misplaced weight if it pools up and thickens... losing viscosity due to cold weather.

I'm with you. Both myself and another Vision rider used it, never again. It did NOT form a center mass like the website video shows. Nothing but a splatter mess everywhere when we dismounted both tires and absolutely would never seal a puncture. There's noway it provides proper balance. If you feel like it works in your tires, it's because they're balanced well enough to begin with.
Not a big bead fan either. When dismounting my tires using dynabeads, the beads are all black in a mass of rubber dust where they've eaten into the tire.
Back to regular weights.
