Considering trading my 2010 Vision for a new Vision.  Mine is perfect.  I'm only considering trading because it has 34,000 miles and I ride about 10,000 miles annually.  I can trade for $11,000 difference for a 2015.   I'm wondering if now is the sweet spot in terms of value for mine and I'm concerned that if I keep it another year the value will begin to drop fairly quickly because of the miles.  I appreciate any thoughts?

Yea, I've thought about that too.  That's what I did last year because I do think at some time Vic will make mods to the Vision.

Thanks for the input.

Tough decision.

It's not really a tough decision. You said your 2010 is perfect. Ride it to the ground!

Knowing the number of people on the forum here who are at or well above 100k miles with no major issues I see little reason to spend anything on a replacement unless it has options yours doesn't. If I were interested in spending a little cash on my bike, I would spend a little on customizing it. Caddilac bob has some interesting options for speaker upgrades, and we know that you can build horsepower out of these things like crazy. A quality paint shop can lay down some killer paint and make your bike really stand out, or an upholstery shop can make your seat custom fit to your backside.
If you make it yours then you probably won't care if it loses a little bit of value, besides as soon as you ride the new bike off the lot it loses value. In the trade in scenario the biggest winner I see is the guy who buys your 2010.
Just my two cents, (and probably well priced)

Very good thoughts. I'm perfectly happy with mine and there are no options I'm missing.

Thanks for The input. I think I'll keep the one I have.

Smart move. I have a 2011 with 72k miles and I have no plan to trade until something better comes along.

What I'm hearing, is that they are only offering you about$8-9k for your trade in. How much more do you think it could drop in value? If it drops another $4k in the next 4 years, you're probably ahead of the$4k a new one will drop in the 1st year.

SOME PEOPLE LIKE TO HAVE THE NEWEST ON THE MARKET OR JUST WANT TO GET A NEW ONE JUST BECAUSE, I FELL INTO THIS FOR A FEW YEARS, NOW I FIND MORE HONOR AND IN LAYING CLAIM TO THE AMOUNT OF MILES I RIDE EACH YEAR AND TOTAL MILES I HAVE ON MY BIKE AND HOW I AM KEEPING SOMETHING GOING WITH A FEW YEARS ON IT AND SOME MILES, ITS A SENSE OF PRIDE FOR ME.

I would wait until next year. I went to a Indian Demo Event in November and one of the Polaris Reps told me that all of the Victories were going to be upgraded, so I would wait until at least fall of this year.
