, OH | Again I have more time than money and Im from the old school of try it your self.
My stock windshield probably has seen better days considering it's an 08. With my height the top edge seemed to always fall right in my line of site all the way up, and just not quite low enuff all the way down. I love the look of the smoke black tinted shields, however I look thru mine at night.
So, round one. Trim the windshield down to the right height. Polish it. Then spray paint thin translucent black paint on the inside tinting it to the darkness of smoke and yet see thru enuff to get home. Ill post the painted version once Im don't.

Perry Hall, MD | All into the try it yourself concept. Looks like you experienced some melting while cutting. To prevent that in the future place masking tape over the location you will be cutting. If the paint doesn't work you can use car window tint film. |

| I tryed tinting mine with VHT night shade not good couldn't see night or day. Tryed window tint not good.

, OH | Thanks for the info. I did use masking tape. The melting was on the cut side not the windshield side. After a polish shouldn't be able to tell. I figured the worst I could end up with is I tried. |

, OH | I just realized. The windshield is totally clear. The whole thing is covered in tape.

Stoughton, WI | I have a 2011 vision there seems to be a very thin layer of clear tape on the shield and it is peeling off in places. Does anyone know if this tape is meant to stay on the shield or is it supossed to come off. If it supposed to come off whats the best thing to use to take it off. thanks much |

Albuquerque, NM | I had a few deep scratches in my stock shield so I used some plastic polish to try and get them out. That didn't work so I tried some headlight polishing pads from Meguire's. I found out that there is a scratch resistant layer over the windshield. This may be the layer that is peeling on yours. I made the mistake of polishing thru it and I had to remove it all to get rid of the telltale lines it created. Now it scratches so easily after washing. Time for a new one. |

, OH | Update to the windshield sorry about the delay. Came out pretty darn good. Deep black yet see thru at night
