Does anyone have a good address and phone number for Victory service. I have several issues with this Vision: radio is a piece of junk, gas leaking from the tank and even gets blown on myself and passanger if full, gear shift indicator is constantly confused and with 4500 miles the rear tire is shot. The closest dealer up here is two hours away and we're heading to Eustis Fl for the winter in a couple of weeks so I thought I'd save the issues till I get there since the dealer is only 10 minutes away. Well I called them this morning to schedule an appoointment and guess what, no longer a Victory dealer. Now I'm back to trailering it to Tampa to get it fixed.. I thought I'd write a letter to Victory and get them started on the problem and hopefully won't spend the winter running back and forth to the shop.

We live in Key West. We bought our 2009 Vision from Victory Lane motorcycles in Estero, Florida, near Ft. Myers, and 5 hours away from us. I used to run motorcycle dealerships myself, and still have access to my old Service Manager up in New England.
Let me say this.......Dave Parker and his crew....are SECOND TO NONE. It's that simple.
They have TOP NOTCH techs, and their customer service is excellent.
I would, (and will) go out of my way to have this bike serviced there.
They delivered this bike to me in Key West, I got on it....and rode it. It was set up perfectly, it runs perfectly, and there are none of the stupid little glitches that should DEFINITELY NOT come along with an "over $20,000 motorcycle" of any kind. You pay this ridiculous amount of money....so that you don't have to deal with headaches.
Call them up. They are directly off I-75, right off the exit. Your bike will be "right" when you get it back. I'm NOT easy....and I really like these folks.

I feel your pain. I live over 300mi from the closest dealership that's on the brink of closing its doors. In retrospect, I should have bought somewhere else, even though it would have been further away. Nothing to do about it but grudgingly move on and find another. As for the radio... Yes it IS a POS. There's nothing a dealer can do about that. None of the Visions are equipped with the appropriate antenna for the application. It was obviously an afterthought. A piece of laminated foil glued to the bottom of a trim panel looks better than a duct taped coat hanger but it probably works even worse. Try turning on your HID in AM mode. You get a loud buzz through the speakers that completely jam AM reception. Issues with the iPod Nano were resolved after it became obsolete and was superseded by the 4G Nano… Of which is no longer designed for full integration with the Vision. Integrated GPS? Discontinued by Garmin without a new OEM replacement alternative. Sure, you can throw a different antenna, MP3 player and GPS on it but you'll be reverse engineering and fabricating to make it work. This is one system that Victory fell WAY short on. The good news is that you can turn it off and enjoy a comfortable ride (unless your belts squealing too). I don't mean to come across as a Victory basher. The rest of the bike makes up for it and then some. This bike has almost become my full time passion. Right now I'm offshore at work on a 23yr. old vessel that's falling apart around me (knocked off but on call). The economy is certainly circling the commode, we're about to choose the lesser of 2 evils at the polls again. Yet here I am constantly re-living my last ride or planning my next ride with my gal. Is it worth it? HELL YES!

My vision of touring, and I've done a lot of it is taking off for three or four days in a row with the gf, packing enough clothes, rain suit and jacket. Sitting back, setting the cruise, turning up the tunes and my partner and I pointing out the scenery on the way. Stopping at little mom and pop restraunts snd shops along the way, locking the helmets on the bike, the clothes in the bags and not having to worry about them as we eat or shop. I've had Goldwings, a dresser and a Venture and with each I was able to do just that. Then I bought this premium, ultimate American made(which was a big seller for me) touring machine with over three years in development.

I ended up with a bar-hopper with no intercom---every other touring bike I've had came with it. A radio that can't pick up beyond the sight of the tower. A cruise control that speeds up, slows down, speeds up, slows down, drives me nuts. I bought the CB so I could have the intercom, then had to buy the cables to attach same. Was told the CB mounts in the right saddle bag, wrong it takes the room for the CD changer. When riding down the road I have to constantly adjust the VOM so we can talk. When I fill up with gas we get gas blown back on us till it gets below 3/4 tank. A rear tire that wore out in 4500 miles. No room for cloths for touring. We have rain suits and the liners for our Tour Master jackets in the side bag and they're full. Enough room in the tour pack for a night or two with no where to secure our helmets while parking. No where to lock the helmets on if you have enough cloths for overnight. The CB antenna does not fold down and the first time I covered the bike the cover and wind broke off the antenna.

There is no dealer support in my area of Ohio and just when I get ready to head to Fl I find out my dealer there closed and am again forced to trailer the bike hours to get warranty work done. What about when your touring???? What if something happens how are you going to get to a dealer to get it fixed??? The worst warranty in the industry, unless of course you buy the extended warranty. My Venture came with a five year warranty and road side service and 68,000 miles of trouble free service....I'm sure I'll get the issues fixed afer a few trips to the dealer and raising a ton of hell but I've been spoiled, not having to ever do this before..

I wonder who they consulted during the three years of research to develope this untimate TOURING machine??? Obviously no one who really did much touring. What they came up with is a oversized great looking barhopper. I put the Bushtec trailer hitch on the bike and its a great towing bike but who wants to tow a trailer everytime the go out for two or three days...

I think once I get to Florida and get the warranty issues fixed I'll put this one on the market and buy another Venture

Boy am I sorry you are having such issues. I have a great dealer thro he may be to far for you to work with. Grand Rapids Victory in Grand Rapids MI is owned by Joe Arnold and and his sons one is in sales and the other the Vision Mech. They have bent over backward for me and have taken care of any issues.

With the latest recall I took the bike in and they had me back on the road in 30 minutes with having checked the recall flashed the computer and replaced the trunk stop as I pulled it loose by accident.

When I first got the bike the radio was not good but after a upgrade on the software it now pulls in any station my truck will. The XM is great the IPOD works perfect.

I had an issue with the surge of the crusie and the latest flash took care of that as well as improved shift points and improved mileage. Had a 325 mile day on a color tour last Sunday low 80's and sunshine so it was prefect. I suggest that you get things fixed and give the bike a try for my money it doesn't get any better than this. There are a couple of things I agree are good points. First of all, the Vision is lacking in storage compared to other bikes I have owned. While I have managed to make due without too much problem, I definately think Victory sacraficed proper storage for styling in this area.

The second point that, for me, is much more of an issue is the lack of a good dealer network. Some dealers seem to be really good (mine included), while some don't seem that great. But its the lack of dealers (and what seems to be dealers closing) that cause me concern when I travel. While I appreciate that for most of us our bikes are relatively trouble free while on the road, it concerns me that should I need something, it may be difficult finding someone who can service the bike.

In my opinion, factory support (or more correctly, the lack thereof) seems to be the biggest problem for Victory. Yamaha, Honda, BMW all offer really strong factory support and a strong dealer network. Even Harley isn't bad in this area (although not as good as the others in my opinion). The other problems with the Vision seem to be solvable, but Victory really needs to take a long, hard look at providing great support for its products. That would ultimately make Victory second to none.

If you are going to be in Tampa, give Barry's Motor Sports a call. 813 871-5500 and ask for Scott. That's where I bought mine and they have done right by me so far.

I keep getting owner survey's but they seem to steer clear of complaints I have had with this bike. I have a feeling they know they have issues. Customer service numbers and website are a joke. Their standard response is "talk to your dealer" we aint tellin' them crap, either. From what I have read here, letters are the only thing that work.
