Got my Vision back yesterday. Tech said ride easy and keep an eye on it for a few miles. Doing good so far. New bling diamond cut salvage motor really nice to see in real life. replacement engine has 57K on it.

My tech is great local independent shop. He said , once the motor arrived, he would stay on it until it was done. Took 3 days. Every time I come in, he moves me to the head of the line ( of course, it's only been for tires before this). He knows my bike is my lifeblood.

I didn't look. It's noticeably low on power and MPG so he is going to check and make sure the Lloyds fuel controller is properly receiving the new engine.

Have him look and make sure the O2 sensors are disconnected. Leaving them connected with either Lloydz fuel controller, or the PCV controller causes confusion between the ECU and the controller. Neither can be properly tuned with the O2 sensors active. It causes conflict that cannot be tuned out. Disconnect them.

The O2 sensors are disconnected. We discovered that the new motor had a nice surprise. It had a Lloyds ATW. It was set negative 2 degrees. It is now set at +3. It is better but now a new problem. My tech carries Amsoil for the HD customers. We agreed to try it (20/50) and now the clutch is slipping. I have to go this weekend and get some Vic oil and hope it corrects this new issue. I think once I get the clutch issue addressed, I need to have it professionally tuned by Kevin Cross. This bike should be running every bit as good as my anniversary Vision but it isn't even close.

The Amsoil formulation for the Harleys is known to cause clutch slipping in Victorys. The Harleys require a different additive package than Victory or the Japanese brands. If you used the specialty Amsoil meant for Harleys, that is the problem.

Amsoil makes three other products compatible with Victory and the Japanese brands that will not cause clutch problems with your Victory. This one is specifically formulated for Victory and Indian http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/motor-oil/motorcycle/20w-40-s...

Let's hope the oil change will remedy the problem.
