| I have 10,000 miles and had my tires changed. When I picked the bike up I noticed a wobble at 45 miles per hour. The dealer claimed it was do for wheel bearings so they replaced them. I still have a wobble at 45. Can anyone enlighten me about this problem. The dealer claims it was balanced when they changed the tires. Bruce |

| Almost sounds like an out of balance or defective tire......... low air pressure or a misaligned rear tire might do it also.
The first place I'd look would be the tires themselves if it started just after the new tires were installed. |

| Why did your wheel bearings go bad while the wheels were off the bike? I think you got hosed by your "stealer". 
I would make sure that the beads are properly seated. Jack the bike up and spin the wheels to make sure the tires are true. Also make sure the stealer didn't bend your wheels when they were mounting the tires. It is obviously something related to their changing your tires if it didn't wobble before you had them work on it. |

| Only two possibilities that come readily to mind and the first is the most probable. I bet the steering stem needs tightened. Probably lifted the front of the bike which allowed the stem bearing to shift then they didn't check them. The second possibility is they did not go weight on wheel before securing the axle so its pinched.
I find it odd that the bearings went bad while it was in for new rubber, and with only 10k on the odo. They could have gone bad by 10k but I would have thought you'd have noticed before it went in.
I'd seriously suspect balance as the culprit, but if your sure they balanced it then the previous two suggestions are worth checking.

| Im not have much success get the wobble out of my bike. 2 new tires, new bearings and the thing still wobbles at 45 miles per hour. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks Bruce |

Hot Springs Village, Arkansas | Did you change tire brand? I had trouble with Metzler tires on the front of my '04 Kingpin (wobble would start about 70mph). When I switched to an Avon Cobra it was gone and that tire worked great! Alan |
