Subject: HEADLIGHT WOES

Fountain Inn, SC United States
Had to change a burnt out right side bulb, I did the left one last year and knew what I was in for. Of course, this one seemed much tougher to get out. The spring clip was incredibly hard to release. I ended up fishing a wire around the hook of the clip and pulling it up through the front access panel. This gave me enough leverage to spring it.

My trouble came when I was trying to keep it out of the way while inserting the new bulb. Tried using that wire to tie it off but the clip suddenly popped out and dropped to the floor.

HOW THE HELL DO YOU REATTACH THE CLIP????

Not being able to see how it was attached or secured is driving me nuts!
Has this not turned into a job to remove the entire headlight assembly??? If so, what's the procedure?

HELP!
