Fun, isn't it? It makes the Vision run like it should have from the start.

Mine is similar numbers, with Lloydz VM1 cams, Lloydz top filter, Lloydz reprogrammed ECU, and stock exhaust. I love it.

Did you get your rev-limiter raised too? A lot of fun happens between 3500 RPM and 6000 RPM with that combination.

Lloydz increased mine to 6400 in all 6 gears, and I shift it at 6000/6100 RPM when I want to outrun GL1800 Goldwings and such. I'm about a half second and 4 to 5 MPH faster in the quarter mile than they are, as verified on an actual dragstrip. My top speed is faster than theirs too. I've seen 140 MPH under ideal conditions. I've only done it about three times, once to see if it would, and a couple more times to shut up disbelievers. I don't make a habit of it.

didn't do anything with the rev-limiter .... I'll have to look into that .... took it up to 100 MPH without even realizing it , backed off figuring that was good enough , but I know she's got more in her .... don't think I'll go for the 140 though ....

You'll find, if you flog it hard, that it will hit the stock 5500 RPM limiter quickly and very hard. You won't like it, since the bike will still be pulling very hard when it happens. This is unlike what happens with the stock cams, because they start tapering off by 4500 and are done by 5500. With your new combination, there is a lot more power between 3500 and 6000.

If you have a Power Commander, you can set it to raise the limiter by 500 RPM in each gear. In my opinion, that is still too short. You will still hit the rev-limiter, beginning at about 5750 RPM in 1st gear, and 5900 RPM in the other gears. If you call Power Commander, you can get the code to raise it by 1000 RPM, which I would recommend. This will allow you to pull all the way to 6000 without hitting the limiter.

I had Lloydz reprogram my ECU and they improved the fuel curve, the timing curve, and the rev-limiter all at once. That was many years ago.
