This is a test of competance on inserting photos onto this website, where previous attempts have all failed miserably....

I feel for ya... Here is a wide angle of the sunset I viewed tonight on my daily walk on the seawall.....which I get to by riding my Vision for one block - in case anyone needs relative material in this posting.

And yes - I took 3 photos and stitched them together to make the panorama. That is my wife in the white coat viewing the sunset over Vancouver Island. University of BC on the left, Lighthouse Park in West Van on the right. Motorcycle is behind me somewhere....

Hey Don, nice photo.

To all, you can see what happens to the forum screen when a extra-wide photo is uploaded or attached. It throws the formatting off and you have to use the horizontal scroll to read text. One way to avoid this is to specify a width of 640 pixels or less on embedded photos. For attached photos there's not much you can do beyond creating a smaller (dimension-wise) copy and uploading that. Just an FYI.

Man, beautiful panarama view. I did that at my mom and dads house of the mountain, before digital and taped it together. That pictured traveled around the world with me in the Army for a while. It was from a vantage point that I knew well and anytime I looked at that picture it was like I was home again. I'll have to do a digital one. There may be a day I won't be able to stand there anymore...

Re: extra-wide: my screen is set to 1920X1200 resolution. And it is a 28" DELL - so widths of 640 pixels take up less than 1/3 of the width. They look 'wallet-sized' to me..... <grin>
