Tried using the link for the Victory Dealers POI for GPS downloading, it's dead, is there another link?

Not sure why it's dead. The file is there, I just checked.
Anyway, I've attached it to this post. Right-click on it to save it to your disk.

No, it's about a year old. If someone has an up-to-date file, please let me know and I'll make it available to all.

I'll look into the XML error. Thanks

Hi Jam
Downloaded the GPX file, no problem, but when I use the GARMIN POI loader, it says
"The file /USVictoryDealers.gpx is invalid. Do you want to want to continue?"

I have the latest firmware and updated software on both my computer (Mac) and the Zumo 550.

Your help is appreciated
brian

Hi Sonicbluerider, I tried that as well, but it downloads as a .gdb file. I don't know how to convert it to a gpi or gpx file so that that the Garmin POI loader software will recognize it.
There appears to be many HD POI files on the net, and I am able to upload them without issue, so I don't think it has anything to do with me running an Apple computer

Question for Jam....
Is there any way you could put together a similar list for the Canadian Victory Dealers?

I'm sure the Vision Riders on the North side of the border would appreciate it.

Perhaps some of us could even send you the Coordinates for our local Dealer if that would help any.

Here's a test of several different POI formats for download:

Garmin (.gpx): http://www.vision-riders.com/files/Victory.4731.gpx.txt

TomTom (.asc): http://www.vision-riders.com/files/Victory.4731.asc

GoogleEarth: http://www.vision-riders.com/files/Victory.4731.kml.txt

Magellan: http://www.vision-riders.com/files/Victory.4731.magellan.txt

Let me know if they work for you. I'm not sure if you have to remove the .txt suffix for them to be recognized by your reader/uploading program.

Hi Jam
Don't know what I'm doing wrong. I clicked on the link for the Garmin .gpx, which opened a new window with all the data. I saved the data to a folder and dropped the .txt extension. Used the Garmin POI loader, selected the file I saved and it doesn't recognize it.
Can you tell me the steps you followed to load these?
thanks for your help

Sorry brian, I guess I need more practice at it myself. I think I would have right-clicked on the link and downloaded/saved the file to disk and then dropped the .txt but that's basically what you did. More experimentation is needed.

Hey Jam
Well I got it to work, I had to load the Garmin GPX file you provided into Gamin Road Trip, which is the program for running the maps on your home computer. Save it into a folder, then upload it into the Zumo. All the Dealers are now listed as POI on the Zumo
I just don't understand why Garmin POI loader wouldn't take the file and load it directly as it has for the HD POI I loaded.
Anyway it works, if anyone needs help, just ask and I will do a more step by step posting
