San Antonio, Texas | OK, after seven months of looking, I finally saw my first Vision on the road in San Antonio. On the east side of town, on Loop 410 going north (between Southcross and Rigsby), about 6:15 yesterday evening, I saw a midnight cherry Vision and a very happy looking rider. Just wondering if it might have been someone from here or if it was just someone passing through. Either way, it's about time! |

I was through there on a Sunday morning, back in November, riding a midnight cherry Vision and was very happy, bittersweet as I just left my son and his family for a visit in McAllen.

My mom lives right off of Southcross and 410 and I have ridden my black Street Vision there a few times and have not seen a Vision yet in SA. I live in Corpus Christi now but did live in SA growing up. Maybe next time I'm down there I will get to see a Vision....other than mine or maybe even see yours. We have quite a few of them here in CC. :-)

Please let us know when you are coming up to SA. It would be nice to get together. I was in CC a few weeks ago. I did a run with two coworkers from SA down 181 to Port Aransas then around the bay to CC with a stop at Knuckleheads. After Knuckleheads we rode back to SA on 37.
Ken and Pen,
You guys inspired me to put the extra chrome I bought in December on my Vision. I added the trunk lock, front fender, mirror rims and back brake chrome this weekend.
FYI, My wife is working this weekend so I will be riding! You guys want to meet up and ride on Saturday?

Hey Don....yep it was me!
I left work early and for some reason it took me about 2.5 hours to get home. I started out on I-10 and headed out to Poteet and then back into town. We've got to get together some time for a ride.

I told kenandpen to go to Fredricksburg and Luckenbach. It just did not work out for them on this trip. I hope that they can make it there next time.
They did see the Menger Bar next to the Alamo. I just love that place. It is the bar that Teddy Roosevelt used to recruit those that wanted to join the Rough Riders. The Bar itself has a repair in it where some fool put an axe to it to mark the the beginning of Prohibition. They then disassembled the bar and put it into storage. Following Prohibition, it was reassembled piece by piece in its current location.
I left San Antonio for years. I got back in 1995 and never want to leave again.

Kerrville Texas ( now a homeowner on six acres) | I am in San Anton on occasions but mine is black. My wife and I winter in Kerrville and so S.A. is a short ride. I get mine serviced at the store on Santa rosa.

Phoenix, Arizona | I lived there from 1989 to 2004 and get back a couple of times a year to visit my parents. I will end up back there some day. I sure do miss all that Tex-Mex food and hanging out in Gruene on a Sunday afternoon. The only thing I don't miss is the mountain cedar in the winter. Makes me miserable for about a month. |

Will definitely let you folks know the next time I'm up in SA. Did you like Knuckleheads? That is one of our main biker hangouts....a lot of cool bikers hang out there and the food is pretty good...not to mention the cold drinks!!

Never thought to mention San Antonio to you. Vaguely remember you going there early December when we were 1st down in Phoenix. The ride was great. You folks in the south have some of the best kept roads anywhere. We would be embarrased to have you up here in Toronto. There are a lot of "Twisties" on straight roads to avoid potholes.
