While checking the rear suspension for possable tire wear issues I found the rear suspension had a surprising amout of free play. With the bike supported with both wheels off the ground , the rear wheel moves up and down 1/4 of an inch. All the play seems to be the result of the fit between the shaft that the rocker rides on nd the frame. The dealer said they think it's normal and response from Victory was to check other bikes . Anybody else notice this on their rides ?

I'm not sure if it is a 1/4", but there is free play in the rear wheel and has been there. I don't believe it is in the bushings at the bottom of the shock or the bottom of the rocker arm. It maybe at the rocker arm bearing control rod. Someone with a new Vision could check and see how much free play is on a new one. Don't believe the play is a serious issue. Just checked mine three days ago, with 23,000 miles.

No free play on mine. Had it up yesterday. Someone posted here a long time ago about worn bushings?

its called "tolorance stacking" i would call it normal. many moving parts involved in the "air over hydrolic" rear suspension. when "loaded" (ie on the ground) it has no adverse affects imho.
