I'm going to celebrate not being some other mother contries bitch, unlike those North of us without the balls to make thier stand. Wow. Do I feel bad about this stand? NO! Who wants to be subserviant to another countries monarchy? LOL Not me, that's why I signed up and did my time. Thank you to all who followed suit and took the watch! HAPPY INDEPENDANCE DAY TO THE U.S. FORCES AND THOSE THAT STILL SUPPORT THEM ALTHOUGH IT HAS BECOME OKAY TO SUPPORT THE CURRENT ADMINISTRATIONS POLOCIES TO FORGET ABOUT THEM WHILE THEY FINISH THE JOB THAT HAS BEEN STARTED!!! I'll always enjoy sticking them in the eye everytime I shoot off a pop bottle rocket! Be safe troops and thank you for taking the watch! You are VERY important to us!

Hey bigwill - tell that to the Canadians who are dying in Afghanistan. We "take a stand" - it's just that we are not powerful (or rich) enough to take 'em all. Happy 4th to Y'all !!!

Well since i finally have it off this year. We are having a family BBQ at my house and then we are off to watch the local fireworks show. I know it's not that exciting but atleast we can finally get the clan together in one spot. Enjoy and have fun all.

Staying out of the damn heat, and maybe hooking up some battery tenders. There was no reason for me not to ride a motorcycle to work today, except I reached my heat tolorance for the year. And it is only July!

I do have some burger patties I want to throw over some charcoal. I am smart enough not to pull the grill inside.

I've been double whammyed.  On 6/15 I returned from a ride and was having problems w/a contact lense.  Since I've worn them for 45 years Iknew something was wrong.  Got to the eye doc the next day and w/in 3 hours was having sugery for a detached retina.  It's healing fine but I have a gas bubble which was injected into my eye that screws w/my vision some (not enough to prevent riding but the Dr. says no riding until the bubble goes away as a bump could detach it again) which may be another MONTH!

I'll be hiding out at my office while my wife's daughter, her b/f and 2 grandchildren take over the house for the weekend and then have the kids for anoher two weeks.

Time to back a batch of my "special" brownies.

Oh, Gawd, I doubt this was supposed to be a pissing match. I saw all kinds in the desert, and all were doing their part. British, Macedonians, Japanese, Austrailians, Canadians..... I thought we were all on the SAME side. Hell, I made gun mounts for the Iraqi Air Force! Anyways, I am just happy to be HOME for this 4th of July. The desert is for those who were born there, in my opinion. It is hot here right now, but no 120 degrees. As for what I will do today, I will celebrate the 4th with my Daughter, Son, Girlfriend, and others, at my Daughter's house. Happy 4th, everyone! -----Metalguy

Only 102 F here in South Tejas. Staying inside where it's nice and cool! Have a fantastic Independence day riders, and if you get a chance, thank a service man or woman for helping us keep our freedom and independence.
Nuff said.

Mowed lawns, aligned the steering wheel with tires on my '60 Ranchero, chained sawed some bushes. Just got back from enjoying a "Freedom" ride. Enjoy my freedom to ride when and where I want on what I want. Click 8K.
Yes, I am a Veteran but no need to kick others today.
Thanks to ALL Vets that help keep our Freedom free.

Had a Cherry Vision behind me going through Pawcatuck yesterday. They continued up Hinckley Hill when I turned off. Anyone from here?

Darn, should have had a cup of tea today.

In the 100+ heat today, I worked on a new fence today at the house. The ground is so dry that I had to cut the holes with a Tanker Bar for the 4x4's.

I had trouble getting the dirt out of the hole since it was so dry and dusty. By the way, a shop vacuum removed the dirt really well.

I took a trip to Seattle for two days and then a Cruise Ship to Alaska for a week. I have been home for 24 hours and I really miss the dry 38 degrees I felt at the top of White Pass at 2888 feet ASL in Skagway, Alaska. The day before I got there, the Steam Engine #73 pulled the train to White Pass and back. #73 was on a side track venting steam when the Diesel's pulled my train to the pass.

The unexpected thing I saw on the trip were two Humming Birds flying up and down the Cruise Ship while looking at the South fork of Sawyer Glacier in Tracy Arm fjord in Alaska. I got some nice pictures of the little birds.

I have not been on the Vision in eleven days. Tomorrow I will ride. Maybe just to Sonic for a Strawberry Limeade.

Ride Safe and Happy 4th of July!
