Nightrider, did you recently fill your gas tank before you bud smelled the gas? Could be gas venting out of the overflow tube or leaking around the gas cap gasket if you overfilled...

Victory has a known problem with the gas caps. they replaced mine under warrantee. do it now before gas starts leaking on everything

Mine was pouring out after each fillup. I saw gas getting my right boot wet. The dealer replaced the cap with the new one that has a rubber lip and no more problem. I hear Victory stamped some filler tank necks to thin. If they get too bent out of shape Victory will replace under warranty. You cannot prop the gas nozzell against the filler cap even a little bit because they will bend the neck out of shape.

Twice I have had gas leak after fill-ups, both times I had to stop and re-do the gas cap. This sounds like an issue with the seal of the gas cap.

If I fill mine too full it comes out the overflow. If I'm careful and noe comes out I'm good untill I hit the first twisty and lean too far to the right
