Assuming they fit, can someone direct me to how/where I can get prices of the panels in black like they are on the 8-ball vision, or the Ness.

Is the 8-ball Vision the same frame/bike as the normal Vision? The handlebars--pullback sure look the same too.

Do you think these black trim panels would fit on an 09?

thanks

If you go to polaris web site and look at the part manual exploded view..you can get the part numbers from the 09 ness. You will notice the part numbers end with -266 which is the cruiser black code. Take those part numbers to the dealer. I ordered the the black instrument cluster like on the Ness/Anniversary this way.

Randy's Victory in Huntley IL has a complete set of the panels in black. I think they are $350...not sure...they might be $300. Since I'm already blacked out I didn't pay much attention. Seen them hanging from the cieling with a price tag, I know it was 3 something.

Give them a call at 847-669-0256

Yeppers

Well at least I'm pretty positive that it was a complete set. Don't remember seeing any pieces missing.

Give them a holler.

Um...I should have mentioned something. I honestly just remembered this...

I've seen a few panels that Randy's has had painted in the past. Not sure what collision shop he uses but based on the overall quality of the paint I'm guessing that he goes with the "lowest possible price" route. Heck, maybe even does them in-house with a spray can from Autozone?

But hey...for the price he is asking for the panels you really can't be very picky on the quality. Guess I just wanted to prepare your expectations a bit.

mrwatson - 2009-07-23 1:12 PM I hope you r joking...

If you are referring to my post about the overall paint quality I've seen from Randy's....I'm not joking.

But as mentioned....Randy is a stand up great guy. He is not going to risk any damage to his reputation over any deal with anyone at anytime.

If you picked them up for anything less than $400 and even if the paint quality is a bit roughish you STILL got a pretty good deal. I'm sure that Randy had them priced accordingly. As I said earlier, I'm already all black, so to be honest I really didn't even give these panels a second glance. The paint quality might be great...or it might be a bit rough..or whatever. You got a good deal, if the paint quality is anywhere above ok or good or great then the deal gets even better. And if the quality is a little on the rough side you can possibly have a collision facilty do a little wet sanding and buffing and bring the quality up. Even in a worse case scenario that requires a repaint....still a good deal just for panels no matter what color or quality they are. As long as they aren't twisted or dinged/dented

Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned the paint quality. I guess possibly I just wanted you to be a bit prepared  Probably getting you worried over nothing. But as I've said more than enough times....I'm sure that they were priced right and you got a good deal.

I might be interested. I work part time at a custom bike shop and have been thinking about setting up an exchange program for color matched panels.

Let me know how much you would like to get for them.

So I finally got the bike back together..Lotzafun..u were right..the paint was kinda crappy. I was able to buff most of the parts out. I had to take the grab rails to a local painter because I could not save those. All in all..after selling my old parts. I ended up with about $200 getting everything blacked out which I did not think was too bad. Thanks Lotzafun for the heads up on the parts. I put pics in the gallery for enyone wanting to check it out.
