Around a month ago I had my seat modded by Pete the owner of Butt Buffer. I had a couple of things in mind. First off my passenger want to sit a little lower. and I thought I could be a little taller without going overboard. With the seat cover off the first question was could the seat heaters be easily removed and mods be made without damage. The result was yes and looking at the seat and using the stock seat cover Pete was able to reduce the rear a little less than an inch and adding a half inch to the front. This is not alot but enought to feel it. I did bring it back once to take a little material out of the middle of the rider stock seat foam so as to not sit on the jewel's, so to say.
So how is it. A very good seat is great. We rode this weekend to a company party in southern MD and from there to Rehobeth Beach, De to visit friends. About 600 miles all in all and at temps around 100 degree's. If anything will make a seat take its toll is 100 degree heat and I can say the seat was not and issue. The Vision also did not skip a beat and I am happy to have a bike that handles the heat and doesn't get all noisey and clacky like my 2007 Ultra. I forgot to say he added his special gel polymer front and back in the seay and that really helps with absorbing those small bumps that take there toll as miles pile up. He has done a few other bikes for me and I can vouch that not all gel is created equal from my experience using another product.

I am looking at the possibility of adding the new driver backrest to my stock seat. Having gone through the agony of attempting to have Victory answer the question to no avail. I am throwing it out to the group. I cant believe that they totally re designed the seat for 2010
just to have the ability to add a backrest for the driver, so my question is, can you order the backrest and insert and retro fit it into the
existing seat as we do for the Utopia back rest? If anyone knows the answer to this, 1. you know more then Victory who makes it, does.
2. Please let us all know because Im certain that many of us would rather have the Victory backrest instead of the Utopia version.

Did he use his butt buffer gel or just relocate the foam from back to front?

Disregard my last question. I read it too fast. Care to share the price?

The seat doesn't look that different. You can tell the rear is a little lower but not without side by side comparison. The seat with two gel pads installed was $250.00.
