Tucson, AZ | I am not an expert on fuels, but all I know is while waiting at a Chevron station for my riding buddy to show, I got to talking to a guy delivering fuel there. He told me that he delivers to all types of stations and they all get their fuel from the same bulk plant except for Chevron. He said that he has to get the Chevron fuel from their bulk tanks. That's all I know. |

Columbia, TN United States | All the gasoline here comes through a pipeline. The distributors pick it up at a distribution center (Nashville) and add their additives before delivery to the retail side. They do sell fuel to non-branded stations.
Thus you could see a tanker with brand x on it at a non brand x station. The local Phillips distributor here does sell to non branded stores, they all do. They just do not put their "brand additives" in that batch, and sometimes I wonder if they add anything at all. |
