Memphis | I'm really interested in who is viewing this forum. I have a feeling we are one of the most diverse groups out there and would really like to know your riding backgrounds. I'll go first: 2000 (Age 42) - Bought my first motorcycle - 2000 V-Star 650 2002 - '02 KLR-650 2003 - Sold V-Star and got '03 Concours 2004 - Bought another KLR-650 ('04) for my 16 yr old son and we rode the Continental Divide from Canada to Mexico that summer. 2007 - Will sell the '02 KLR and Concours to make room for the Vision. |

Cleveland, GA | In 1977 bought a 1972 Honda CB 175 to ride at college. It wasn't broken, so I fixed it till it was  .
Got married in 1979 and raised four kids, so I had a choice - I could have a motorcycle or they could eat. They never went hungry.
Bought a 2000 Honda Shadow 1100 two years ago and have put over 35,000 miles on it since then.
Eight months after returning to riding, I became a Motorcycle Safety Foundation instructor.
Taught my son and daughter to ride last year. Both purchased motorcycles within a few weeks.
My wife and I test rode the Vision a week and a half ago in Atlanta. The Vision Tour Premium has been ordered  . |

SC, Bluffton | In 1975, 5th grade, I bought a rusty Honda 50 Mini-trail that my dad repainted.
After a few years, I got a Honda SL70. That was my favorite ride ever.
At 15 years old, I got a Honda 125 on/off bike. Can't remember the acronym of the
model.
Turned 16, didn't touch a motorcycle for a long time, I got the family hand-me-down 4
door Impala. (party time)
At 20 years old, bought a beater Honda & Kawasaki 400LTD. The Honda 400 had an
automatic transmission. I didn't have much money, and these bikes felt wimpy quick.
Got rid of the Kawasaki, and kept the Honda for a little over one year. I remember 2
winters on that bike.
Fast forward to 1997, 33 years old. Got a decent job. Bought a Kawasaki 1500. BUBF
model.
1998, got real tired of just a 4 speed transmission and got a Kawasaki Nomad. Still didn't
have a lot of money, and didn't do much on the bike. 16,000 miles in 5 years (pathetic)
2003. Now with a Wife, traded in Nomad for a Goldwing. Money was getting better.
Started doing things, going places (Honda Hoot, Wings Over The Smokies, etc.)
2004. Man, I miss a cruiser. Added a Honda VTX1300S the garage.
2004. Bought the wife a Burgman 650. Truck in opposing direction runs her off road
totaling the Burgman. Road Rash, Scars, Damaged Nerves. We now dress thoroughly
waist up.
2005. Bought her another Burgman 650.
2005. I got rear ended at stoplight. VTX is totaled. Wife hasn't driven the New
Burgman, just me. I take the insurance money along with Burgman for an even-
Steven trade for a Kawasaki 2000.
2007. We sit on a Vision at Myrtle Beach. Wife loves the look of the bike, especially the
rear. I don't like the rear, but love the Vision from the passenger's seat forward. Within
days a deposit is made at the closest Victory dealership.
I am not selling the Goldwing or Kawasaki at this point. If the Vision is as great as I
think it will be, one, or both should go. Got too good a deal on the Kawasaki, and we
have put too much money into the Goldwing. What to do, what to do.

Mount Vernon, WA United States | - Early 70's learned that 6'4" people should not motocross, they only serve as speed-bumps when they fall off.
- Rode mostly dirt or occasional old-school Suzuki choppers that friends had.
- First bike of my own in 1977, a Honda CB100 to scoot around PenSUCKola Florida while in Navy "A" School training.
- 1979 Kawasaki Z2b 750. Chopped it. Used it to convince a Drunk in a Panel Van from ever pulling out without looking again.
- 1981 SECOND Kawasaki Z2b. Kept it stock and rode it until '92.
- Although I went on rides of others once in awhile, I didn't own my own bike again until 2002. Victory V92C.
- Picked up the others in my signature since then including a 2002 Triumph Bonneville that has already been sold again. |

1979....18 years old and buoght my first HD. 1951 Panhead with suicide-shift and huge ape hangers.
1988.... 1987 Electra glide Classic (couldn't take the hard tailed pan anymore)
1990.... 1986 FXRP
1993.... 1993 Electra glide Classic
1999.... 1999 FXRT
2003.... Electra glide Classic
2005.... Electra glide Standard with a ton of performance accessories.
So far all Harley Davidsons but I believe my next one will be the Vision depending on how the test ride goes in Michigan this month.

Southeast, AZ United States | 1973 or thereabouts...recieved a Yamaha 50 enduro...spent 5-6 years riding in the dirt and raising cain
1982...bought a Honda CM400 and rode it to work for about two years
2004 (Sept.)...bought 2003 TCD...41,000 miles until some A$$ decided he wanted to travel in our lane...It's being repaired and will be for sale soon
2007 (June)...Have a deposit on a Vision and can't wait for it to arrive, the road is calling!!!

| Early 80's had a Honda xl185, bought it because it cost less than repairs to get my car running, rode it for about a year as my only transportation.
Jan 2005, my wife decides to take the MSF rider course against my wishes "motorcycles are too dangerous" I tell her. She says she only wants to prove that she can do it, She passes course and gets her license "it doesn't mean I'm going to get a motorcycle" she says " i just wanted to prove to myself I could do it"........ 2 weeks later I come home to find a helmet on the dining room table, we find her a Virago 250 as her starter bike , 1 week later I have a Suzuki Savage just so I can keep an eye on her..... I realized quickly that I needed a larger bike, looked at Harley's didn't like how they felt to sit on, a Harley hardcore friend told me I should check out Victory, about 3 weeks later I was riding home on my brand new '05 8-Ball...... I think I'm hooked. The wife wound up on the Savage for about 2 months after that then she got a Honda Shadow Aero, rode it until April '07 now she's on a VTX 1300 and I have a reservation on the Midnight Cherry Street and I plan on keeping the 8-Ball also.
May the Vision be what we've all been looking for. |

1975-77 Honda 250 Elsinor dirt bike & Honda 550 Super Sport w/ fairing,case savers,siisy bar,etc
Didn't touch another bike 'til April,2007 when I ordered a Vision & bought a used V92SC to "re-learn" how to ride.
I'm doing pretty well on the Sport Cruiser (only dropped her 4 times so far- never at speed, always in a parking lot or gasstation).
July 28,2007 went to Atlanta to test ride the Vis. All I can say is "WOW". Can't wait 'til mine gets here!!!!!! Luke |

Honda CB160, then graduated to his CB350. When I joind the Army in '73 I bought my own
Honda CB350 and rode it for a few years. Got out of it for almost 30 years, then bought a
Honda VTX 1800 Now I ride a
Yamaha Royal Star Venture.
I like what I know about the Vision, so far and am looking for ward to test riding it in Sptember. |

i am breaking my mold years of harley no new design if they
would have put the v rod motor in the fl's i would have looked at it.

Purchased my First Victory in 2000 - it was the 124th V92C they built. Sold it to Rocket Rogers in 2004 to remain in the his personal collection. It had about 18000 miles on it.
Next was a 2004 Kingpin.....
then a 2005 Touring Cruiser
Then a 2006 Jackpot.
During the same period 04 to now I have also owned a Yamaha FJR1300,Venture,03 Touring Cruiser,2000 Vic Sport Cruiser.
When I got my street license I started with a Honda Nighthawk 650 and gravitated toward bigger sport bikes(zx11,cbr1100,FJR1200)before trying out cruisers. I've liked all of the bikes but really loved my Vics.
The Vision will be the bike I've really wanted since 2002 when a small group of us rode out to Kansas - mainly on the original V92C's. |

Colorado Springs, CO | Started out on a 1977 Honda 400 Super Sport in High School. Unfortunately, only rode it for 2 years.
Now fast forward 28 years. Got an '05 Kingpin Deluxe as a present to myself for making it 21 1/2 years in the USAF. Bike got totaled 3 months ago from an accidnet that involved a 17-year old girl who was more concerned about talking to her 15-year old sister then paying attention to the stop light that had turned RED.
Was looking at getting another KP, but after riding the Vision, and on the suggestion from the wife that the new bike better have a comfortable passenger seat, am waiting for my Midnight Cherry Tour Premium.
I don't know if I can take any more of these withdrawal symptoms, I GOTTA RIDE!

| Started out in the 70's in grade school with a mini-bike and Honda CT90.
Starting in high school and college I went through a Honda 500, Yamaha 750 & 1300 touring bike and an old Goldwing.
Since then, I have been riding some Ultra Glides, Road Glides and GL1800's while trying to decide what touring bike I want next.
I have my deposit down on Vision Tour, with the GL1800 coming in 2nd if the Vision doesn't pan out.

loss track of all the in between ones
1989 Kawasaki Voyager- Loved this bike
2001 Honda Goldwing Hated this bike never fit me I was to tall knees hit fairing
2004 Victory Kingpin Loved this bike just not enough room for wifes stuff on trip
2008 Victory Vision as soon as it arrives
Have since retired from air force and workfor GE. Goldsboro is near raleigh so mountains are a short 3 hour trip and beach 1 hour so get best of both worlds. Havent even sat on the vision but hoping it fits as good as kingpin and that will be fine. |

So Cal | Been riding since I was 14. Like Miles, I found out early, when your six foot, 115 lbs. and 60 of it is above the neck. Motocross can be very painfull.
Just turned 50 in April.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Married 1st wife in 1977. Gave up riding because she hated motorcycles.
My daughter was born in 1987. Best thing to come out of that marriage.
Got tired of the snowy winters an humid summers and move to Los Angeles.
Not riding (among other things0 put a strain on the marriage. Split in 1993.
Bought an old Spotster 2 weeks later. Been riding Harleys ever since.
Bought Touring model in 2003. Love It. Cant get enough. Put 50K on it in the last 4 years.
Great bike, very dependable, but ready for something new.
Got married again in 2005. This one likes to ride. Knows better than to ask me to quit.
Dont need a new bike. Want anew bike
New Harleys look just like the one I have. Why spend $30K for somethink I already have?
Enter the Vision. Never ridden one, never seen one, except all the pictures in the magazines. Gotta have one.
Deposit in late June. Reserved conformation in early July.

| Back around '84 I bought a '77 Yamaha 400 when that died I did not ride for about 15 years. In '99 I got the fever, went to the local HD shop and looked at a Sportster 883 but the salesman made me feel my money was dirty. (I did not know about Victory yet) Went down the street and bought a '99 Honda Shadow 750 Ace. I put 2.3 miles on the dealers parking lot after they closed. Put 5000 miles on in 5 months. Was looking for an American made bike. Looked at American Iron Horse, Wild West, Bigdog but did not want to take a mortgage out to buy a bike. The paper with the address for the Vic shop in Burrellville, RI must have blown out of my pocket. I stopped at an HD accessory shop and the wonderful lady there let me call for directions. After a demo ride, I traded for my '99 KYSO Blue and Black. She has 56,000 miles on her.
In '03 I got a $10,000 "moving" bonus to go to FL and got a deal I couldn't say no to on an '03 Classic that 39,000 miles now. Yes, I know not much mileage in the years since I was out of work and my '60 Ranchero got out of the shop. Hopefully that will all change when I get my Vision. I had planned to ride to the Grand Canyon this year but Mom had a heartache attack so hopefully next summer.
I have 12 states to ride in to complete the 49.
Originally planned to trade the '03 in for a Vision in the spring but got the fever after 4 demo rides. But now I am back to that plan so I can get the chrome forks to go with the chrome rotor covers when they come out. About the only thing I don't want is the big chrome trim on the fairing as of now. Even when the GWs have them I tend to see the chrome piece first instead of the bike. I was thinking of doing something with the original piece maybe a Victory script logo machined out of SS or even painted Cherry.
Sure could use the heated seat and grips for the Turning Leaf ride.  |

Stockton, Ca. | I am 52 now and was Born in Philadelphia then moved and grew up in Northern Ca. Started riding in Jr. High School on friends dirt bikes and spent lots of time at the flat track dirt races.
I purchased first bike a Kawasaki 400 in 1979
The 2nd bike was a 2001 Suzuki Volusia
3rd bike is a 2004 BMW 1150 RT and is a great road bike with excellent handling in the corners (still riding)
4th bike is a 2005 Victory Kingpin for my cruising urges and is currently up for sale in anticipation of the Vision Tour on order.
Alltogether I have been riding for about 35 years on my own and borrowed bikes. I am anxiously waiting my new Midnight Cherry Tour to arrive. Hopefully any day now. Who knows if it really handles well it may be enough to replace both the Beemer and the Kingpin! |

29 Palms California | 1999 HD Sporty in Hawaii
2002 2003 HD Electro Glide prior to deployment to Iraq.
2005 Replaced engine, numberous maintenance issues, no joy from HD
Moved to Florida from California, lost the tranny.
2006 Got a really good job offer in California, moved back 2 months later, lost the mainshaft
2007 Seen the Victory Vision on line, still own the HD, but can't wait to trade that money pit in for a real machine.
I have 3 cross country trips under my belt, with 2 new engines and a new tranny in the same bike. I love to ride! I don't love maintenace issues every 300 miles.

Mount Vernon, WA | Rode all Honda off and (mostly) on since the mid 70's. First bike was a 400. Last Honda was a 2002 1100 Spirit. Found the 2002 TCD in August 2003. Great bike. It will indeed make it hard to trade for a vision. The wife will be the decider, of course. If the back seat works for her, I suspect we'll get one. Too bad I couldn't take her on the test ride. |

The learned to ride on that one. Last bike was an HD. Sold it in 1992. A couple months ago the wife said "Lets get another motorcycle"
I'm almost 50 and I think my wife's a keeper!! Our 30th is just a few months away.
