This is how my Zumo 550 is mounted wired straight to the battery and has worked this way for over 4 years.

Did anyone ever figure out what the infamous 5th wire (Blue and Pink) on the 2010/2011 VV was for? I posted the question on the general forum by accident last round so it may have just never been seen. I know I have the 4 primary wires identified for the audio In +/-, ground and switched power but what is that 5 wire for? Cutting into it this weekend along with some other mods... Thanks in advance.

Hate to be another that seems to be asking the same questions, but here i go.
I have an 08 Vision, and just ordered the Garmin 660. From what you said you can buy the proper plug that hooks direct into the bike? Have you a part number or brand of plug that i can reference for this?

does the way you set it up allow all audio through the bike system?

page one of this thread should have all your answers including using the stock cable with the 660. Great wiring diagram. I have ordered through that company before with no issues. I bought the ram ball mount for my console through GPS city and utilized some GPS cradle parts I already had. GPS city was good to go as well.

Pin Connection of Vision 2011 is different than the 2009 model, where I can get the pin and what are the colors of the wires I have to connect it changed

This is from a 2012 Manual. I have not opened up my console to verify but it should be the same for the 2011.

I ride a 2012 Cross Country Tour. This thread has helped me sort out how I am going to wire in my Garmin 665. I am going to try to post portion of my manuals schematic of the 5 pin GPS plug arrangement. It may answer questions about the 5th wire.

Want a good, not ideal, solution and have an existing Garmin to use? This is what I did on my fixed windshield HD. I bought a spare suction cup mount that came with the bracket to hold my Garmin, in my case it was a Nuvi 550. I drilled 2 small holes through that suction mount and through my windshield and used a couple of stainless steel bolts with nylock nuts to hold everything in place. I then used the cigarette lighter power adapter that comes with the Garmin to power my unit. In place it looks like this on the windshield and it works great. I can monitor it as easily as I would with it mounted on the windshield of my car.
Viewed from the seat of my HD

Viewed from the front of the windshield to show the bolting

I did use washers and thin rubber grommets to cushion the mount from inherent vibrations in the HD's windshield. I don't know if the grommets would be needed on a smoother bike. The arrangement gives me no sound through the speakers, the Nuvi is not designed to be connected to an external sound system, so I need to glance at the display now and then but it is nearly in my normal line of sight so that is never an issue. My thought was that if there is enough space under that center console, I could use the same approach on a Vision. For use on most other Victory models, without the powered windshield, you should be able to duplicate what I did.

Can someone create a step by step with the number on the connector etc so we can duplicate what they did to get other GPS units to work with the stereo?

I would love to find wiring diagrams (schematics) for the 2013 Vision Tour. Anybody got any ideas where to locate this? I'm going to mount a Garmin 550 with the GXM 30 on my Vision. Haven't decided exactly how yet but I'm leaning on the handlebars. Not wanting to drill holes in the console at this point in time.

It is a lot easier to use the suction mount on your RPM gauge. No drilling and I ran a SAE 12v adaptor done to my battery tender so no wires to splice. Buy any brand GPS you want. Can't see paying over $600 bucks for a GPS just so I can hear it through my speakers.
