Friday night I had said goodbye to my friend Ken and his girl Jeri not realizing it would be the last time I would speak to him........ Ken had just gone over a set of RR tracks and down a small hill, while waiting for the light to change they were rear ended by a car doing 100+ mph, unfortunately the hill blocked his view of what was coming....... The driver kept going and was caught later..........
Ken is brain dead and on life support awaiting organ harvesting, Jeri is on life support and may not survive either. Please pray for their families.......

Here is the news report,

Crispin, prayers for Ken and Jeri in hopes of recovery. I know a man who they had in the morgue following a motorcycle accident and the doctor recheck him for some strange reason. 30 years later the man has had a full productive life, though he's never rode since. Hope upon hope. The driver should get ....

A terrible reminder that it can all be over for any of us in just the blink of an eye. Prayers sent for their families and friends.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to your friends. I understand that the gentleman is now with the Lord and beyond our help, but please keep us informed on the Jeri. We are all here.

My condolences to you and the family. Extremely painful to lose friends and especially under such careless circumstances makes it even harder. 100+ MPH....what should the punishment be for that? The judge should all be a biker! I'll keep you and the family in my prayers.

Unfortunately Jeri died from her injuries on May 7, sad thing is that she was showing improvement, was responding to voices and other stimuli, then took a turn she was unable to come back from. Sorry for leaving this post unfinished.

Not the reply I had hoped for...but thanks for the update. For the sake of others on the road I hope they locked up the other driver.

Rumor has it they're going to give him the max if (when) convicted which unfortunately still won't be enough.

Final update: the driver of the vehicle pleaded no contest and was sentenced to 18 yrs. On good behavior, he'll probably be out in less than 9.
