Toll camera question ?

When I owned my 03 Venture one of the perks was free travel east/west over T.O.

Anyone know if the Vision Tour pack has the same effect ??

Try using magnetic numbers on the tag or just pay the toll. Speed trap camera pics from TN were really clear. ET

With a bag on the back of my 02 cruiser the camera couldn't see my plate and travel on the 407 was free.....not so with the vision.....if the camera can see your plate, you pay......various devises out there to mask your plate or reflect light.....

i find the 407 is worth the cost

I was at a Bay store in London a couple weeks back. When the cashier told me my total, I had to dig into my wallet for another bill as I didn't calculate the tax right in my head, of course I made some off hand remark about the HST.
The cashier was originally from a Latin America country. She politely told me that our good life in North America can be attributed to all the tax we pay, and she would gladly pay it, rather than live through the hardships she had in her birth country.
It kind of humbled me and made me realize that taxes aren't all that bad.

I hope this doesn't turn into something like an oil thread now.....LOL

The fact is that the poor in many countries do not even have shoes.

Tolls on Ontario's 407 are very different than what you pay in the US. There is no coin toss for one. A camera photographs when you get on and where you get off. It's $0.2135 cents per Kilometer during peak time, $0.1835 off peak, trip toll charge of $0.40 cents per trip, plus Video toll charge of $3.60 per trip.

So a one way 30 mile trip (50 Kms) will cost you $14.50, plus the HST tax of 13%. If you get caught with your plate obscured its a $50.00 charge.

Where do you pay $0.35? It's at least $0.50 or better anywhere around here for a toll road!

I will be sure to avoid the 407. Shouldn't be a problem because the chances of me getting to that part of the country is slim to none....... I pay enough taxes as it is........ most of the cost on a gallon of gas is tax, which is supposed to be used for hiways.
It's not as much the paying of the taxes as it is the way THEY spend my tax payments.

Ahhh, now I get your question. It did come off like you were trying to scam the system. Do you also need some sort of transmitter for this system to work - similar to our Ez-pass?

All factory accessories on all bikes go through a test process to make sure they meet all transportation road regulations. So I would think that if it is a factory accessory sold in your country, then it is required to meet that countries regulations. If it fails to meet those regulations, then it is required to be tagged "for off road use only".

So if you get a ticket that a factory accessory has triggered, I would march into the dealer and have Victory pay and represent you in court.

There is a transponder that you can rent monthly, then you don't pay the video charge, otherwise you just ride it. The following month a bill is mailed to you, if you fail to pay the charge you won't get a renewal for your license plate.
