When I purchased my 2009 Vision I was told that it had a 5 year warranty.

It was explained as a 1 year manufacturers warranty and a 4 year extended warranty.

Today I get a letter from Polaris for me to sign up and pay for an extended warranty, 2, 3, 4 or 5 years.

What's up with that?  If I purchase an additional 5 years will I then have extended warranty until 2019?

Something seems screwy with this. Does Polaris have a clue what is going on?

I tried to call the phone number on the form and that line is not even active. . . . .typical!

Double check your paperwork. The Vision comes with a 1 year warranty from Polaris. Dealerships offer an extended warranty of four years but if it was NOT included in your purchase of the bike you did not get it.

I bought my 2009 Vision about 8 weeks ago, and am still getting everything sorted out warranty wise. The dealer said, and I confirmed at the Victory website at the time, that 2009 models came with a 5 year warranty. I have since called Victory to verify, but I'm not completely in the system yet. Hopefully within the next 2 weeks I will have something in-hand showing the 5 year warranty.

I had the same thing happen to me. I called the number and found out it was sent out by mistake since I already had the coverage.

Call your dealers service department and have them check what the computer says. Easy and you dont have to mess with Vic HQ

Went out to my dealer and checked it out.
All my paper work says 5year wattanty(1 yr + 4 extended).
My dealer saves every piece of paper and puts it in a customer file. I now have additional copies for back up.

Like I say over and over again. If you buy something or are given something when you buy anything have it written on your receipt. I also ask for a hard copy of everything when I buy that way I have a paper trail if something comes up. Do this the rest of your life.

Did anyone ever receive paperwork from Vic saying you have the 5 year coverage, or just what was written on the original sales receipt?

Mine arrived in the mail.
Yesterday I got a letter from Polaris for me to sign up and pay for an extended warranty, 2, 3, 4 or 5 years.
I called the number and found out it was sent out by mistake since I already had the coverage.

Update on my Warranty.
I received a nice phone call from Victory customer service to let me know that their info shows my warranty is indeed a 5 year warranty, (1 year + 4 year extended).

There are actually real live people working in customer service!

Talked with GE today, they are the company that underwrites the extended warranty. They don't send out anything, according to the rep, the dealer should have given me a copy of the extended warranty when I signed the purchase agreement. I asked GE for a copy, they won't send it to me, and said I'm in their computer system that's all the dealer should need.
Right now my dealer did what I would call warranty work, (replacing the shift indicator switch) and GE hasn't paid them. I'm going to the dealers tomorrow and if necessary start a conference call with GE to get this straighten out.
Never received my VRA membership card or welcome to the club pamphlet either. Makes you wonder how competent the whole system is.

Have had my Vision for about 8 weeks or so, and today received my VRA Membership card, etc. No warranty info, though, so will call tomorrow to confirm I'm in the system for 5 years.
Would also like to get a copy of what is covered and how long things are expected to last. There has been a lot of talk lately about the 100k mile transmission warranty. If mine fails after 4 years and 60k is it covered? 4 years 55K miles?

I don't know if it has been mentioned here, but go to your dealer and have them pull your serial number, it will show if you are carrying the warranty and when it expires.
