Hi all, I've had my new 2009 Vision for one week. All I can say is what a bike. I can't believe how smooth it rides. I need some help with the ipod. It has the black cord with the mini plug on the end. It will play songs but the only control that I have is up or down on the volume and mute. What cord do I need to have control of the songs, play list ect? Thanks for any help. Only 200 miles to go for first oil change. Charlie

I have an 09 Street Premium. I had the white Ipod cord installed when I bought the bike. All controls work like they should, but don't charge the ipod. I think my ipod is a 5th gerneration model bought new two months ago. The dealer tells me that www.cablejive.com has a charge converter that will work. I beleive it is around 20 bucks but have'nt purchased it yet to find out. It plugs into the bottom, then cord plugs into it. They say the Ipod will still display "device not charging", but to overlook that and will charge. I would like to talk to someone who has used one.

I've been using the adapter for a while, not a bad investment if you already have the cheaper cord.

I've got the white cord, and a Scosche Adapter bought from Ebay. Charges as you ride. Man, this completes the Vision for me.

The correct iPod cable to use with the 08-09 Visions is Part number 2877894. This is the new style (not the white one) that will charge all versions on the iPod, iTouch and iPhone

Done and done - on both Visions.

I also plan to hook my 660 garmin up to the female plug on the bike. I hope this cord does not use the same plug? Thanks everyone for any help. As this is a new bike, just trying to get all my ducks in a row. Charlie

They don't use the same plug. I have my 660 installed with the Victory mount and my IPOD plugged in at the same time. It's great not having to worry about the IPOD battery dying and still controlling the IPOD via the radio buttons.

I have the older style white cord. Several weeks ago, my ipod quit working. I just got letter from apple stating that it was caused by damage related to moisture, even though the moisture indicator didn't show liquid contact had been made. This invalidates the warranty on my ipod, even though the indicator doesn't show moisture was present. Now I'm wondering if it was the cord all along? If so, would it be covered by my warranty on the VV? Anybody else with this problem?

You would need to look at the connector of the ipod - if you see any green - then it was moisture... corrosion... Been there - done that.

On the next one - use some dielectric grease... It wil help prevent it from happening again...

I replaced both my ipod and cable and use the grease...

Seems to be a huge intrest in the 660 mod today. Here's a link on how to do it. It does not use the same plug as the ipod, but it requires a bit of work with some small parts. It works like a dream though.
