as least 75% of the time when I stop for gas I have a conversation about "how I like it?" or "does it ride smooth?" or "sure is different!"

Same thing happens to me all the time, the funny part is when a hard core Harley rider asks and I tell him that I love it, they don't appear to believe me........ That's ok.

My Ice Blue Vision Street seems to get a lot more attention than my Midnight Cherry Vision Tour.

Very few know what it is.

I was in a DWI check point, the Trooper was being surly to the cagers as they rolled up to him.

When I pulled up on the Vision his eyes got wide and he asked what it was? I told him "An 08 Victory Vision made in Iowa" He waved me on and told me to have a good night. I didn't even have to pull out my wallet

I would have flagged you over for further review, (of your bike...I mean)!

Something like that happened to me last spring. I was on the bike for the first time in a few weeks and was doing about 85 on a nice country road....when I saw blue lights in my mirror.

I pulled over and turned the Vision off and got off the bike. This big ole state trooper got out of his car, put his smokey hat on and walked slowely toward me. Yep, he did look intimidating!!!!

I said "I'm sorry, officer, I haven't ridden in a while and I guess I just got a little carried away."
He said "That's ok, I'm not gonna ticket you. Hell, I wasn't even gonna pull you over until I saw you go by and then I just had to get a better look at that bike. She sure is a beauty. I've never seen anything quite like that before. What is it?"

So we stood there on the side of the road and talked Victory's, Visions and motorcycles in general for about 15 minutes and he told me to be careful...then he got in his car and drove off.

I love it! Whenever I park - I make sure I can see the bike. NOT because I worry about it. Instead, it is so I can see the people admiring it. It's kind of like... well .... an extension of ME !
People may not (well, don't) admire me, but they sure do the bike. And since the bike is a part of me, they are admiring ME !

At least in my head....

My youngest daughter got in a fender bender last summer and two Motor Officers on Harleys were at the scene when I got there.  I pulled up on the Vision and the older cop told the younger one to stay with the cars and walked over to me.  "Victory Vision, huh?"  "Yessir"  He walked around it a couple of times and said "That's gonna be my retirement present to myself.  Two more years."  We then proceeded to walk over to the cars and talk about the wreck for a couple of minutes.  We were still talking about bikes 15 minutes after the tow truck left.  He should hit the 2012 model Vision perfectly.

I have had two different occasions , where a car was trying to take a look at my bike ....he was inching up trying to get closer and runs into the car in front of him.SERIOUS..... its the funniest thing. I had a cop follow me into a circle K to get a better look at what mods i had done to my Vision. I had a guy chase me down for around 10 mi on the freeway til i got off the exit ramp .When i stopped at the light he got out of his truck to grab a business card and looked at the bike. I love the attention.... its great living " outside the box".

At a charity ride a few weeks ago I was parked in the middle of a bunch of HDs. After I registered and was walking back to my bike, I noticed the crowd around it. I walked over to it, put the key in, hit the mp3 player, and the theme from Star Trek started playing.

One of the guys asked if it had warp engines, I then hit the mp3 player again and the sound affects of going to warp speed started playing. I told then to stand back, when the tires retract it is quite the sight.

This bike is fun even when you are not riding it!

About 30% of the time I ride two up with my wife so it took her a while to see first hand about all the stories I'd tell her after coming back from a couple hour ride...so here are the three latest and now I get to have fun with it when my wife is on board.

At a stop light going to take a left and get on a ramp to hwy 45...spent the day at the EAA air museum...my wife is laughing through the intercom and I catcher her doing the thumbs up to a lady in a full size white van. The lady is telling her grandmother to look over here at this bike...could read her lips when I looked up...that is so cool!

A wife and husband walking their Golden lab coming towards us as we enter a local town and the speed limit drops to 25...he gets a good look and gives us the thumbs up and I read his lips...great bike! So I ask my wife through the intercom why that guy just gave her the finger...which earned me a wap to the back of my helmet?and a laugh.

Last Sunday I took a morning ride through several small towns...back roads...enjoying the morning looking for the proverbial little family cafe. Found it in Cambridge and pulled in and circled the place looking for a parking spot and notice all the cars were parked on the one side for a reason...the other side parking lot was coming apart. I park the bike and don't even have my helmet off and the cook comes running out the door with his big apron on asking questions a mile a minute...I keep preparing the bike and locking the compartments answering the questions...he is so excited to finally see one up close...he just bought a Sportster a month ago so he was really getting into bikes.

As we walk into the cafe with 15 people eating at tables...still talking about the bike...he is shouting to the rest of the cafe staff to check out the bike...the owner, the owners wife, the waitresses all go outside to check the bike out. There I am sitting in a booth by myself...looking at 15 customers all looking at me...everyone that works there is outside and all I want is a cup of coffee and a menu. Any of us could have walked up to the til and cleaned it out because no one was watching it. So then they come back in and I figure I'm gonna get my coffee and menu...oh no not yet...gotta answer a bunch more questions. The owner sits down across from me...his wife says scoot over sugar...and sits next to me as they ask a bunch more questions.

Eventually had a great breakfast...prime rib & egg special, hashbrowns, white toast and a glass of milk!!!!

My license plate is "SPCSHP" - the other day I walked up to the bike in front of the usual bunch of 'looky-loos' and prepared to depart.

One guy says to me - "are you off to the Stars, or just a romp to the Moon?"

LOVE IT !!!!!

I've had people In Their cage snap a photo of my vision while riding down the street. You look over and see a cellphone pointed at you! Lol

On that one I my thoughts were, "It's like a taste of Heaven on Earth every time I head out on my Vision."

With a new Ness Vision I have discovered a troubling problem on Interstate Highways. I always travel maybe 5 or 10 miles above the limit but am respectful and pull out of the left lane to let faster traffic go by when I can. Several times in the last few days I have had a car come up fast behind me and swing to the right lane of me. "OK" I say to myself, "if he wants to pass on the right that's OK. I'll just move over after he goes by to get out of the way." Then he pulls up beside me and stays with me. When I look over at him he's driving 80 miles an hour but looking intently at me bike. I wave at him, he gives me the thumbs up, I return the thumbs up, he smiles pulls on ahead. Not kidding, happened several times. Terrible being the center of attention!

I work at a clinic and the bike is parked next to the end with big windows, I put a patient on a stepper and he stops and says "what he hell is that and who's is it." Seems he road for the last 5o+ years and misses the ride. He told me that jesse james built one of his first choppers and most of his bikes were customs. But he really liked the way the VV looked and told me to get him better so he could go for a drive. New motivation for my patients.

Even my girlfriend has all the specs and features down so she can rattle them off when we stop.
At one Harley infested donut stop a guy jumped off his Sportster and ran over raving about the light up badges!

My Vision gets all kinds of looks, but not when I ride with the wife. Her Spyder gets the googly eyes. When people see us on both bikes they must think we are from another world, and we get slammed with millions of questions.

...absurd, Harley riders infest greasy burger joints, Winger are for Dairy Queen and donut shops. But I can understand a Harley rider "raving" about lighted badges if he frequents a donut shop... sounds like a rather happy fellow.
