"""""""""""""I noticed over the weekend that both of my lighted Victory Badges dont work. Not sure how they are wired but think its odd that both are out. Hoping its a simple loose wire or fuse or something.
Does anyone have any info or diagrams on this subject that might help me pinpoint the trouble?

Thanks

I also have another lighting oddity that i think my dealer is going to have to look into. Ive noticed that
when im stopped and the bike is running, when i initiate forward movement into 1st, or starting in first and moving to 2nd, my headlight "blinks" <--- not sure what to call it but it momentarily goes off and back on very quickly like a loose connection. It does not do this once I am moving but only when the position of the bike seems to go from stationary to moving."""""""""""

Dollars to donuts that both of them are burned out. My right side one finally quit working and I could tell it was on its way out, it looked half lit. The left side one went a little over a year ago. I thought LED's were supposed to last longer, but I guess the electronics don't. You can check 12v at the connector but you still have to take the side panels off to get to the connector, and you still have to pull the side panel to get the light off there are two screws holding them on and no way to get it off without pulling the side panel. Just not enough room.

I bet if you were to reach up and feel the connectors to your headlights, they are probably barely touching or the filaments are burning out. It is just a push on connector on the back of the headlight. I just replaced both of my bulbs over the weekend.

Question, does it blink on high beam also?

When my left badge quit I found out I was caused by water.. you could see the damaged caused by the water. My dealer said its real common for the left badge to fail. They had a brand new vision with a bad left badge! I fixed mine by gutting it and installing led strips as I wasn't going to pay $150-200 for a freaking lighted bade I rarely see....

Thanks for the input. I dont think its water damage since both lights are out. Also the bike stays in the garage and hasnt gotten wet on the road other then its occasional careful bath. Im hoping its a fuse or loose wire issue. Im also looking for a service manual page that shows the wiring diagram so I can check for both of these issues. Anyone know where I can obtain the wiring diagram?
Thanks

How do you "gut" a lighted badge? I want to paint the oval frame black.

Thanks,
Pat

There was recalls on 08 vision did you have them done? If you don't know give your dealer your vin number and they can find out. There was something to do with the front fuzz box.
Check battery see if cables are tight. Even go to a battery store and have them do a load test but first charge it for a good day.

I put his new custom painted skins on and forgot to plug both of his badges back in. Brought it back and I plugged them up.... as many times as I have pulled the side fairings off, I think I have forgotten to plug badges back up more!

sounds like your Bat wires are loose

But the way I have lighted baggies for sale. $150 for the pair and they work.
