Hi, this needs to be a place where the juice is only on when the key is on...not constant.
Thanks, Bob

I was thinking about the fuel pump wires under the tank or opening up the headlight bucket and going with the low beam. On the Honda's Ive owned there was an accessory pllug I tied into but Im not familiar with the wireing harness of the Vegas.

I went into the headlight bucket and tied into the low beam headlight this afternoon.

You want to avoid any load in the loop and tap directly into ignition switch. I think it is either the pink or brown wire that is switched.

Not really, if it is a 3 wire meter it would be connected directly to the battery with a relay that turns it one with the ignition.

The easiest place is the grey plug under the console rear plate in front of the seat for the accessory plug. It takes spade terminals and is off with the key. No cutting or splicing and easy to get to.
