I have almost 13K on my 116 now and it blows away HD's like they are standing still. One thing you really want to do is warm it up good before jumping on it. I know that goes for all engines but the Big Bore likes to be warm to run fast!
Just a quick story. My wife and I were riding home the other day on the express way. We had the bike up to about 75. A street glide blew by me in my lane doing about 90-95 inches from me and rattling me. I hit the gas and as I past him he crouched down into the racing position. I was doing about 120 when I past him and still building speed. He fell back like he was sitting still. I love doing that!!!!
I thought my wife was going to kill me but she just said "that was fun" LMAO

Can we swap wives and bikes? I got onto a passing lane today and gunned it pass a GW and the wife got all twitchy on the back, wrapping legs around me like a horny 21 year old!!!

Once in a great while I'll hear on the internet or facebook about a 116 engine suffering a failure. Usually it is described as a cylinder issue, I can only think it might be the iron liner that is installed coming loose some how. anyone know first hand about this type problem ??

When a sleeve is installed correctly it doesn't separate from the cylinder even in 8 L. 2500 hp racing motors. The only problem that I can for see would be the result of the owner/operator not warming the engine up to operating temp. to allow the aluminum cylinder and case to match the expansion of the liner. Back in the day all motorcycle engines had iron liners and every engine failure I can recall involving the piston rings, liner, or anything in that area, if the engine was assembled correct and oil preasure was maintained, had to involve the operator's messing up the break in period or the warmed at some point in the enginges life. Break in procedure is critical to an engines longevity and performance. Heck, if you don't give a Nikasil coated cylinder sufficient warm up you can damage the bore coating and have a similar engine failuer.

I was looking at the dyno sheet on lloyd's website and the 114 has a nicer/flatter torque curve. Any 114's out there that can speak of the performance/reliability?
