I've been riding "The Old American Motorcycle" for some time now. I worked with someone that rode Goldwings. I was always impressed with the technology. The Vision seems to be the perfect blend of tech and American motorcycle. I thought it was a concept bike, not headed for production. But when I found out they were actually building, it didn't take long to make my deposit. The wait is the worst part. I grew up in a steel town, and buying forgein is not in my blood. The Vision seems to hit the sweet spot for me. I've read some reviews and the minuses seem minor compaired to the riding experiences I've encountered over the last 30 years. Everything in life has room for improvement. I live in southern Ca. now and the Vision website has demo rides scheduled for late Sept.in San Francisco. I was hoping to have mine by then. I'd rather wait a few extra weeks to make sure they have it right, than keep taking it back to the dealer because the missed the mark. The wait is still a bitch. Pardon my french.

The last few weeks have felt like an eternity waiting for the bikes to be delivered. I hope all that have ordered them get to ride their Visions before winter comes (for us folk in the north). Maybe Vision-Riders should conduct a support group in the Chatroom for all who are anxious about their impending delivery.

Oh, the days gone by, waiting, anticipating. Still find I'm as excited about the Vision as I was waiting for it...

So many vivid memories of test driving it when it went on tour, to picking out the color and options, the dealer calling to say it was in, and the ride home after picking it up in a torrential storm. Years later I still enjoy everything about it.
