That phone isn't going anywhere even if the suction cup lets go, the power cable goes down under the windshield and is zip tied on, the most it will do is bounce around on the dash. There is about $890 worth of stuff tied on the dash and handle bars of this scoot, everything is securely fastened on.

I don't like to drill a bunch of unnessary holes if I can get away with it. Everything is removable without any damage to the bike.

You are right though on the suction cups, they can let go and if used on a bike they should be backed up with some kind of tether.

sgiacci, you could do like I did and mount a piece of clear headlight repair plastic onto the dash and the suction base will stay on until you release it. I did this to mine and I've made several long trips and have yet to lose my GPS off the dash. I just cut a small circle of the stuff and stuck it on the dash. It has a smooth enough surface for the suction base mount to hold on and the plastic is clear enough that you barely notice it on the dash when the suction mount is not on there.

Why is everybody on this guy for his unstated phone usage? There have been at least 100 posts about Ipod use and controls, but never a single comment (except the one I made) about people that are searching their Ipod for tunes being worse than those that dial one phone number. Get your priorities straight. Dinking around with electronics, be it phone, GPS or Ipod is bad whether you're in a car or on a bike. Personally, I think the remote Ipod controls are a hazard and should be eliminated and Victory made a bad safety judgement putting Ipod screens on the tank display where the rider has to remove eyes from the road.

End of rant, you are now free to flame.
