Does anyone know if there is a way to access the equalizer controls while using it on the bike?

I use an 8G Ipod Nano that HD gave me a couple of years ago for test riding one of their bikes. It works great on my new vision, and the HD logo on the back can't be seen while it's in the glove box!

Anyway.....when I plug it in to it's $22K accessory, I can't use the menu on the Ipod itself. Of course I can contol all the basic functions with the bikes controls.

Thanks for any info.

At that point the iPod is "Docked" and its controls and levels are docked. You can set the EQ before docking.

Have you read the iPod - Vision guide?

Yep, very good writeup, thanks. I read it before asking this question.

I tried pre-setting the EQ controls and then plugging it in, but it really didn't seem to make any difference to me. I'm not sure it's even utilizing the built in EQ. It would be nice to be able to change it on the fly, as my taste in music is all over the map, and diffent EQ settings go better with different genres, and even different songs.

Oh well, not a big deal. Thanks for the answer though!

I have only paid for a few songs. Most of my music is old like me.

Maybe some else here can chime in.

Bummer. I thought it worked for me but it could be that my ears are hearing what I wanted them to hear not an actual change.

If you pay for a song or an app and some how lose it it will not charge you again to re-download it. You will get a pop up message that you already purchased it and do you want to download it again.
