Raleigh NC | I have ordered one for the 2011 vision I purchased 3 weeks ago, it has not arrived yet but hopefully this week the dealer will have it in his hands. Yes to the question of the adapter. You will need the dongle to listen to your onboard radio, Ipod etc.....
If it works as It is suppose too I think it will have been a good purchase, I will let you know. |

I've got a small bluetooth transceiver that I plugged into the ipod. It syncs well with the Sena SMH-10s but the volume is real low from the transceiver. Its really useless. I'd love to find one with adjustable levels for "audio IN and OUT." |

Is the volume on the Sena adequate if you play music through a cell phone linked with bluetooth to the Sena? I use the Cardo system which is very similar to the Sena and it works great. Maybe there is some volume limiter that can be adjusted on the Scala system?
This is my understanding of how it works....
Bluetooth transmitters broadcast a digital signal and have no impact on volume. The receiver either gets it, or it doesn't. Volume is purely a function of the receiver and speakers. If you link to your cell phone and control the volume with it, it's not sending a stronger signal to the receiver. It's just sending instructions to the receivers amplifier to increase the output. |

| I plan to get the Sena system and link it with my Zumo 550. I will then be able to communicate with my passenger, hear GPS prompts, listen to music from Zumo MP3, and receive/talk on my cell phone. If/when they figure out the dongle, I will buy one and be able to get the music from the bike as well. I used the Zumo for all this when I had a Goldwing and it was fine. I can still listen to my iPod or radio from the bike's speakers if I get tired of the music on the Zumo. Guess I could try making my own Dongle but that would probably be wasted effort with my limited technological skills. I'm assuming others are already doing this. |

I have a SENA bluetooth headset on my helmet and a smart phone. That gives me turn-by-turn GPS, all my MP3s, streaming internet radio, full phone service, I can even stream a movie if caught at a railroad crossing. Just what more could you need? |

Just what more could you need?I just bought a set of SENAs and they arrived two days ago. Charged them up, and within ten minutes and with the manual, synced everything to everything I needed. My wife can connect to her smartphone for both music and phone. GPS works, everything works well, and she can keep her smartphone in the trunk and plugged in charging so it doesn't lose battery.
Mine is synced to a old motorola droid for music (not on a network), and my cellphone for voice. Both work flawlessly. I keep the droid in the glovebox plugged in. When I turn the unit on, it auto discovers my phone and droid, and everything works great.
I have no problem hearing the music (I wear earplugs), and it sounds fine to me.

2 mi from Jim Beam n KY | CC, the problem IS with the transceiver I have. I found it on Amazon, and there were numerous complaints of low volume. A different Bluetooth would fix that problem. The same Amazon reviewers mentioned getting a different unit fixed their volume issue.
With cell phones and streaming music, the Senas are great!!! |

If the link to the bluetooth transmitter I bought on Ebay doesn't work anymore, you can do a search on ebay for bluetooth stereo transmitter. There are several of them on there, all of them are under $20.00 last time I checked.

Can you explain how you got this to work? My understanding is that the cable in the glove box is an input only. What you describe would imply that it works as an output too. If that were the case, I could hook it straight to my helmets (nolan n103) input jack and listen via the speakers in the helmet.
