Subject: My First Ride

Puddle Jumper

Dealer got a vison street in friday. Wasn't the tour model i have on order but had been wanting to ride to get feel of the bike. Told me to come in Saturday and take it for a few hours to make sure if what I wanted. First impression was it was very good looking bike. Started up and surprised at how quiet it was. Guess was expected a little more rumble. Sat on it felt great handlebars were perfect, seat was comforttable. loved the low stance. Wife was with me so this was a double up ride. Being a neat freak first thing hit me was the flat silver paint below wind screen. How hard was it going to be to get bug guts off this and keep it looking good. Guess will be first piece of chrome I have to buy. Then looked down to to shifter. Was wearing biker boots and noticed the boot toe was touching the black paint in front of shifter. Dam this was going to scratch the paint up real quick. Figured would fix this with some clear plastic that I had used behind my car wheels. Loved the why it breaks the wind 70MPH nad no buffet at all. Could hear radio clearly at all speeds. Power was a bit disappointed. Have a 04 Kingpin with a stage 1 and the vision felt sluggish compared to this. guess the added weight does have some effect on this. Next problem set in was my seat got warm. Wife had hit my seat heat by accident while grabbing handles. Wonder why Victory located both switches for seat warmers next to passenger seat. Again these are all first impressions. Did I like bike overall yes. But wish Victory had done a few things different. Wife not real thrilled with short passenger floor boards. And from design of bike don't know if an aftermaket company will be able to fit the swing over extensions on this bike like my 1800 Goldwing had that made passenger foot position more tolerable on long rides. My overall great style, great sound system, average performance, comfortable seats, average radio display sun bleaches this out often where could not read it. Do I still want one. Hell yes. Just wish could have helped victory out with a few things. Guess we all do. Now if Victory would just hurry up and get mine to the dealer.
