Took off yesterday morning at 4 degrees. Pulled the bike out of the garage and the thermometer read 50 degrees. Watched it drop quickly to 15 degrees then all I got was _ _ for the rest of the ride. Anyone else have this problem?

Maybe they are trying to tell us that if its colder than 15 or hotter than 110 you really don't need to know!

This mod works when above freezing.

When below freezing, my 2008 shows random readings. Here is more discussion on the topic.

The temperature gauge will go higher than 110. Believe me I know, I took a picture of mine when it read 115 while crawling in traffic across the Hoover Dam. 115 on asphalt and no wind is definitely not pleasant.

mine whacks out below 30F! it's aggrevating . Is there a fix? I like to know how cold I'm riding in.

No fix that I know of. It's nice having a temp gauge, but a bit aggrevating when it I cannot trust it 3 months of the year.

I agree, frustrating. it looks like as long as this has been an issue (5 years) there would be a fix from Victory.

It only seems to be an issue with the '08s. I don't know what they changed in '09 but maybe it's something that could be retrofitted to the '08s.

My '08 won't ever see temps below 32 f since I'm in Florida but when I was in Lost Wages (las vegas) in '08, the temp showed 117 f when I rode "the Strip". No wind and the traffic was moving 20 feet per stop & go 'til I got off that crazy street and went down some side streets.
